Business School Family Circle
The Family Circle is a distinguished community of families whose students are actively pursuing a degree at the University of Miami Business School. Through this meaningful engagement, families become valued partners in strengthening the undergraduate student experience at the Business School. Members share important family perspectives on key issues, serve as ambassadors for the School, and help build connections by participating in and hosting local events. Their leadership and philanthropic support create lasting opportunities for students and help advance the Business School’s mission.
The Family Circle is supported by the University of Miami Business School’s Jaffee Center for Undergraduate Business and the Office of the Dean. Membership is offered annually and requires that the family’s student actively pursue a degree at the Business School throughout the membership period. By joining, families affirm their genuine interest in the Business School and their commitment to supporting students through meaningful engagement, advocacy, and philanthropy. Together, Family Circle members help shape the future of business education and foster a vibrant, supportive community for Business School students.
Member Commitments
- Meetings: Members are invited to attend meetings biannually — once in the fall (during Family Weekend) and once in the spring, allowing for networking with other member families and with Business School administrators. Between these in-person gatherings, members stay connected through virtual events, including town halls and guest speakers.
- Charitable Giving: Members contribute $7,500 annually to the University of Miami Business School Annual and Unrestricted Fund, which supports the School’s most pressing priorities.
- University Support: Members are also encouraged to become acquainted with other initiatives at the university and to consider supporting one or more, based on their interests and the interests of their University of Miami student.
Engagement Opportunities
- Meet and greet leadership of the Business School and key administrators.
- Serve as a ambassador for the Business School, host local events, and serve as a resource for prospective students.
- Get special invites to faculty and industry leader-hosted events, both in-person and virtual.
- Access exclusive newsletters and networking opportunities.
- Engage with the dynamic alumni community of the Business School.
